Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck

Of Mice and Men cover

Of Mice and Men is a story about two migrant workers in the the 1930s. Lennie is a big man who isn’t the smartest out of the two. He doesn’t know his own strength so is unable to control it. George is a short and stout man who watches over Lennie to keep him out of trouble. They work in California and are headed toward a new ranch. They meet all new characters there and run into a little trouble with the boss’s son, Curly. Curly will take on anyone that is bigger than him to prove something. So Lennie has to watch out for him. Unknown to both George and Lennie this ranch will be their last adventure together. This book is a good read for anyone. It has humor and is a great story about the experience of two best friends.

  1. Here’s a comment from senior Jon L.:
I thought this book was really good. It showed the challenges people had to overcome at this time. It showed how people were so lonley and what lonliness can do to them. It also shows how far friendship can take some people.

I don’t think that this book/movie was boring because it doesn’t have a lot of action in it. the main characters don’t go on adventures and it bores me
